Heavy rainfall and Tropical Cyclone DIKELEDI trigger flooding in eastern southern Africa.
- Inundation remains in the Sudd wetlands of South Sudan.
- Poorly-distributed rainfall since late September has resulted in abnormal dryness and drought across central and southern Somalia. In southern Africa, central Angola, eastern Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, and Madagascar face abnormal dryness. Drought has settled in across east-central and eastern Madagascar.
