YOUNG MEN'S VULNERABILTY IN THE INFORMAL SETTLEMENT ENVIRONMENTS

We are excited to invite you to our webinar where Dr Trish Zweig will be presenting. Her gender-based study, rather than focusing on young men as the generators of risk and perpetrators of crime and violence in these urban communities - determined instead to understand how young men themselves are being made vulnerable in these impoverished environments and their coping mechanisms. Statistically, more young men are killed or injured in such communities. This begs the question, why are they so vulnerable in contemporary democratic South Africa today?
